Kevin Purcell
Kevin is a PGA of Canada member and has been a golf professional for the last 29 years. Kevin has worked as a Director of Golf, General Manager and most recently spent 7 years as the Executive Director of the PGA of Ontario.
Having worked in the golf industry for almost 30 years Kevin is skilled in Non-profit organizations, event planning, coaching, marketing strategy and especially event management having run thousands of golf events over his career. Kevin has mentored dozens of young professionals over the years who are enjoying successful careers today.
Favourite clubhouse snack at the turn? Halfway House Hot Dog!
Kevin gained significant business knowledge and experience while attending Saint Mary’s University’s BComm program with a major in business administration. Pursuing his passion of golf, Kevin became a PGA Professional in 1991 and has held almost every significant position in the golf industry since. Kevin states “It has been an amazing journey to wake up every day and work at something I love!”
As a Director of Golf, General Manager and Executive Director, Kevin has assisted hundreds of event coordinators in running successful golf tournaments and provided a first-class experience at numerous charities and fund-raising events. Jay Reynolds
Jay has held leadership positions in multiple sports, entertainment and non-profit organizations with extensive knowledge in event logistics, cause related marketing & strategic corporate partnerships.
Believing strongly in community involvement, Jay says “I’m passionate about supporting philanthropic causes and giving back. That’s what I love to do.” He brings this commitment to his role as Director of Marketing for Event Caddy and also to his personal life, volunteering as a ‘Big Brother’ Mentor for the last 5 years.
Favourite clubhouse snack at the turn? Snickers candy bar.
Jay grew his knowledge and passion for event marketing while receiving a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from California State University Long Beach, after earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from Charleston Southern University in South Carolina where he competed in baseball as a division 1 student athlete.
As a lead project manager, Jay has organized numerous golf tournaments, run/walk fundraisers, celebrity galas and national retail marketing campaigns. What he likes best about Event Caddy is hearing all of the amazing success stories from Tournament Organizers. Liam O’Donoghue
Liam is one of our Tournament Specialists here at Event Caddy with a passion for marketing and growing events as well as relationships. He grew up surrounded by sports and was introduced to golf at a young age by his Father. Since then, Liam has been constantly involved in the realm of sport, as a fan, athlete and organizer. He was also a member of the Student Athletic Council at Laurentian University where he played a primary role in setting up events for alumni or other donors for University Athletics.
A strong believer in community involvement, Liam held roles at Laurentian University as a leader and participant in the “Cool Kids Lead” Initiative that paired Varsity Athletes at the University with a member of the Sudbury Special Needs Community in order to promote being active, show that sports are for everyone and build lifetime friendships.
Favourite clubhouse snack at the turn? Refreshing Beverage
Liam attended Laurentian University, majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Sports Communications. During his time in University, Liam was a member of the Varsity Men’s Lacrosse Team, as well as being a member of the Student Athletic Council. This is where his passion for event planning in the world of sport truly took off. Upon finishing school, Liam took a job organizing an after school sports program at his local Boys and Girls Club in Brantford, taking the lead in running their events and scheduling his own program. He then moved into the software sales market, where he excelled. Liam has a great understanding of what people want and is passionate about delivering.
In the role of Territory Manager, Liam is an immediate point of contact after registering for Event Caddy. He will be the one who you speak to about what you can expect out of your tournament in order to make it as successful as possible. Calvin Raitt
Another one of our Tournament Specialists here at Event Caddy, Calvin has a passion for technology and how it can streamline efforts, while making life easier. He grew up playing a variety of sports and was introduced to golf by his Grandfather and Dad as soon as he could walk. Calvin believes in giving back to the community through volunteering at a variety of organizations in Hamilton, Ontario as well as helping run charity events. Calvin attended Toronto Metropolitan University majoring in Business Technology Management, graduating with a Bachelors in Commerce. As a student, he would volunteer at the Daily Bread Food Bank.
